CIP @ Woodlands Waterfront
On Wednesday, 28th September, the entire Secondary 1 batch went for their CIP. We went litter picking at the Woodlands Waterfront. After that, our form teacher, Mr Poh, let us play and buy drinks for a while. We went to and back from the Waterfront by walking. It was great, enjoyable but tiring. I was dehydrated and had fever when I reached home.

Celebrating Hari Raya!!!
Recently, the fasting month, when all of the muslims fast from dawn to sunset, has ended and this means the start of 'Syawal' the month after 'Ramadhan', the fasting month in the islamic calendar. Many muslims will think of the same think when 'Syawal' arrives, which is Hari Raya!!!!! One or two weeks before Hari Raya, the muslim families will start cleaning up their houses, paint their houses and order some 'kueh', which means traditional delicacies. Then, they will decorate their houses. On the actual day, each individual will apologise to one another, especially to parents, for the past sins and bad deeds they have done. After that, the families will go for their prayers. After their prayers, they will all change to their newest and nicest clothing, before going out to visit their grandparents and relatives. That is what my family had just done today. It was enjoyable and fun. I would like to wish all my muslims and non-muslim friends a happy and safe Hari Raya.

My First Learning Journey in Riverside Sec
My first learning journey in secondary 1 was in February,(I can't remember the exact day) The whole school had a 'Learning Journey Day', when all of the classes will go on their learning journey that day. I was disappointed as I wanted to go to the 'Integrated Resorts' but my class chose to go to 'Kusu Island' instead. I was excited as it would be my first learning journey with my new class. On that day, we rode a bus to the boat bay and rode a boat to Kusu Island. It was very fun! We took pictures, played and at the same time, learned. I got seasick while travelling on the boat, but my friends had helped me feel less giddy. We then went back and we were dismissed.
It was a wonderful experience and I wish that we could go to the Integrated Resorts next year!

My first day of secondary school
When I was in Primary Six, I heard about countless numbers of schools my family and friends had suggested for me to go. Some of them included schools like Yishun Secondary, St. Andrews and Evergreen. All of this choices was narrowed down to Riverside Secondary and Evergreen Secondary, as the were the nearest schools to my house. The answer was obvious to me, which was Riverside. It was a better school. I have seen many of my seniors in Primary School with good aggregate going to Riverside. It was one of the top schools in the North Zone.
Now I am in Riverside. I was happy that my dream of getting in it came true. I was overjoyed.
So how did the first day go? Well, it was enjoyable and kind of nervous. I arrived in school and could feel the energetic atmosphere. Students were chatting with broad smiles on their faces, telling me that they longed to see their friends over the holidays. I headed to my class. I saw different faces of mixed feelings, nervous, shy and others. I managed to make friends with a couple of them. All of us then gathered in the hall, and was greeted by Mdm Sng, our school principal. We had talks, briefings and more talks. Sitting down for so long had never made me ache...until then. Then it came to my favorite period, RECESS! I met some of my old friends, one of them was from the same Kindergarten class as me. Then, for throughout the day, we introduce ourselves to different subject teachers and they introduce themselves to us. The bell then rang and it was finally time to go home. What a long day at school! Although it was tiring, it was an unforgettable experience.
