My first day of secondary school

When I was in Primary Six, I heard about countless numbers of schools my family and friends had suggested for me to go. Some of them included schools like Yishun Secondary, St. Andrews and Evergreen. All of this choices was narrowed down to Riverside Secondary and Evergreen Secondary, as the were the nearest schools to my house. The answer was obvious to me, which was Riverside. It was a better school. I have seen many of my seniors in Primary School with good aggregate going to Riverside. It was one of the top schools in the North Zone.

Now I am in Riverside. I was happy that my dream of getting in it came true. I was overjoyed.

So how did the first day go? Well, it was enjoyable and kind of nervous. I arrived in school and could feel the energetic atmosphere. Students were chatting with broad smiles on their faces, telling me that they longed to see their friends over the holidays. I headed to my class. I saw different faces of mixed feelings, nervous, shy and others. I managed to make friends with a couple of them.  All of us then gathered in the hall, and was greeted by Mdm Sng, our school principal. We had talks, briefings and more talks. Sitting down for so long had never made me ache...until then. Then it came to my favorite period, RECESS! I met some of my old friends, one of them was from the same Kindergarten class as me. Then, for throughout the day, we introduce ourselves to different subject teachers and they introduce themselves to us. The bell then rang and it was finally time to go home. What a long day at school! Although it was tiring, it was an unforgettable experience.
